The last week has been a crazy one, watching our application shoot up in the ranks, and feature prominently in the media.
The snowball seemed to begin on August 4th with a few mentions from Tuaw on Twitter and Facebook:
On August 7th, we saw an article posted on the PC World website. Soon after Danny Allen of GIZMODO posted a piece praising POOP THE WORLD. Fast forward to this past Sunday August 9th, and we received an e-mail from CTV news Vancouver wanting to do a segment on a unique and flourishing tech business in Vancouver (See picture below, where they actually had me do the interview while sitting on my toilet!)
These mentions have had quite an impact to say the least! In the last week website traffic has increased by 1,439.69%, averaging over 2,000 hits per day since Aug 6. Downloads have increased +163%. Out of over 60,000 applications, ours has moved to #74 in the Paid Entertainment section of iTunes.
This is extremely encouraging as we have not yet released V2.0 (which is still awaiting approval from Apple). V2.0 as mentioned in a previous entry contains numerous updates including Twitter and Facebook integration, all of which are sure to push PTW further into the upper eschelon of the iPhone app world.
